In January, we continue to make good progress on all projects throughout the studio.

January Monthly Report:

Last month's collection of progress throughout the studio, presented to the community to see the progress we are making. Now, let's see what work took place this month...

 

Attack on Titan: Project

In the last months the team fully completed our Freeplay Release trailer, which showed all the content we've been working on for the last 10 months. 
 

Unfortunately in January we had to say farewell to TheGuyYallKnow, the Lead Developer who has been on the New Module crafting all the content you've seen, and we wish him best of luck in his future endeavors! Thankfully, all the features created remain high quality and optimized. You can see our newly updated and finally polished Skill Tree and Upgrade Tree below!

We'd also like to show off one of our favorite abilities, the yet to be finished Butcher move, which is not fully complete yet shows some of the unique abilities we'll have both in Freeplay and Journey mode. 

Work also continued on the Utgaard Mission map, where you will defend the tower from hordes of titans, but be careful, the more damage the tower takes, the more it will physically fall apart...

Shinobi: Project

January had some minor work done with the completion of the building system for Lore Team ready to roll out and a few other minor updates left some wondering on the current status of the development.

Completion of 1.3 has resulted in some major downtime with a minor break of development going on for a bit of the first half of this month, but work has officially began on the next update, unfortunately we are unable to share anything about this update at this time as everything is still subject to change, but next month we plan to announce some of these updates. 

For now take a look at some things for the future, which we do not want to speak too much on it at this moment.

One Piece: Project

These last two months, we’ve made some solid progress even with all the holidays and family time. 

We’re really proud of the direction this project is heading, and this year it’s finally gonna come to life. A ton of work has gone into the models and animations, as you can see in the next teaser. The wild life is a key mechanic you’ll find in the game, at any moment a wild beast could come at you, so watch your back...

Ships are also a huge and super important mechanic in One Piece, and we’re diving deep into them. The ships are built to the real scale of One Piece, with interiors and tons of details. They’re still a W.I.P, but you can take a look at how the Marine Warship is turning out:

The customization options are endless: +20 unique and customizable outfits, +15 face combos, character heights, races with tons of trait variations, and the ability to change your hair color, eye color, skin tone, clothes, and more. It’s all about making your character 100% you.

We wanted to show off how the Greatsword style looks in-game, along with the new clash (still a W.I.P). Each combat style has its own stats, some are slower but hit harder, others are faster with less range.. There are +18 different combat styles in the game right now and +80 different obtainable weapons for the various combat styles.

Development is moving along at a solid pace. We’ll start engaging the community and dropping more regular updates about the game soon. We’re just as hyped as you are for this project!

Clone Wars: Project

Work continued throughout December and January on all development fronts. We launched our Christmas Special that included the trailer of Clone Wars: Project, which reached over 70,000+ Views on YouTube and 100,000+ across all Social Media! Our discord blew up to over 3,000 members, and we'd like to give a big welcome to all of our new community members!

The build team paused development on Christophsis temporarily to focus on Felucia, which saw completion in mid January. HeroWandering handled the CIS Bases and interiors, while the rest of the team focused on the terrain differences between regions in Felucia. Felucia is going to be one of the first maps to see action in our Alpha release, so it's important we met both the scale and the environment to meet player expectations, and we believe we've done so. We moved onto Kamino which saw work and planning from the entire build team, work was done on all areas to bring the map to our new quality standard, including the "birthing" room, it saw a total overhaul and increased scale to match what you see from the canon.

All of our Kamino exteriors are being remade to fit our newly designed layout, which is needed since Kamino will be the most active and used map, we have the set the bar very high in terms of quality and scale to immerse Cadets into the world of the Clone Wars. As seen below, detailing on the exterior is well under way, making sure the scale fits what we need where we need it, and adding interesting connecting points to make Kamino feel as seamless as possible.

A new citadel was created to go alongside our new training droids which were also completed this month. The exterior is heavily work in progress, and should be ignored.

Our new training droids can be seen in action below, these will be the only droids Clones will interact with as cadets and in training, making any new droids truly terrifying for our players. These training droids will not kill you, and instead knock you out for awhile, and will not shoot to kill as other droids do.

Last month also saw the completion of all our AI types, including the two main enemy fighters, the Tri-Fighter and the Vulture. The final class of AI is the Munificent and the Providence, which will be completed in the first days of the month. You can see these new AI in action below!

The completion of the U:P Admin and Permadeath system being fully rounded out and hooked up to our staff discords for webhooks and logs, preparing the game for Alpha release. This was a mandatory task for the release, and is now knocked out of the way so we can continue on other features. Animation work was also fully completed on the Acklay, as can be seen below:

We also completed, after loads of work from our modeler, the full scale Senate building with a full interior! This required a ton of work and input from the rest of the team, and we are excited to show you our 90% completed Coruscant, a truly massive map which we believe does it justice for being the capital of the Republic!
